We're looking for a Director, Regional Sales at our Japan Regional Sales Office in Tokyo

The incumbent will work under the guidance of Vice President, Corporate Sales to oversee the Sales Operations of the relevant geography/regions/properties in accordance with the business and marketing plan and budgeted revenue objectives. 

 

Responsibility

  • Generate sales leads and grow booking and revenue stream for Fraser Collection of properties from Japan point of sale.
  • Develop and effectively manage client relationship marketing and cultivate brand loyalty with strategic focus on long stay, group, and RFP opportunities.
  • Manage key accounts to ensure optimal performance to contribute towards occupancy, average rate, RevPAR and market share.
  • Develop & expand strategic partnership opportunities with key intermediaries to expand group & extended stay pipeline, wholesale/leisure and MICE related bookings, apart from direct corporate & long stay business from existing clients.
  • Represent Frasers Hospitality to provide portfolio/property info update and trainings to key audience groups (including, but not limited to Consortia/Travel Management Companies, Relocation/Corporate Housing Providers, travel concierges/wholesale agencies, Tourism Boards, Airlines & Professional Conference/Event Organizers, Call centres etc in Japan) to ensure brand awareness and market visibility.
  • Organize/coordinate/attend various sales related initiatives/events, tradeshows, or sales missions etc, as and when assigned.
  • Gather and share regular source country market insight which may impact business potential to markets which Frasers Hospitality operates.
  • Support pre-marketing efforts of new properties to drive awareness and lead generation.
  • Provide in market sales support/guidance to Japanese properties as and when assigned.
  • Maintain regular close communication with Corporate & Cluster Sales & Marketing personnel and sister properties to effectively cross sell our properties.
  • Work alongside the local sales teams in new business opportunities, by prospecting for new clients and growing accounts with presence or HQ in Japan
  • Support BD in terms of supplementing market feasibility information for potential projects.

In order to hit the ground running you will have:

  • At least 10 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry with strong knowledge of Japanese market
  • Business or Hospitality related degree or higher (ie Bsc Hotel / Tourism Management)
  • Strong in RFP, in-depth knowledge in Corporate transient, Corporate group, MICE, Consortia & Wholesale/leisure market segments
  • A resourceful, proactive, self-motivated and independent salesperson
  • A good team player with excellent people and communication skills
  • Consistent track records in meeting and exceeding set KPIs.
  • Fluent in English
  • Effective leadership and coaching skills
