The Frankfurt Marathon
In town on October 28th for the Frankfurt Marathon? Add style and luxury to your trip with a stay at Capri by Fraser Frankfurt.
The Frankfurt Marathon has been established for well over 30 years. Due to sponsoring agreements it has changed its name to the BMW Frankfurt Marathon since 2011. It’s the oldest running event in Germany and in terms of participants and people finishing, the second largest in the country.
Winners of the 2015 event include Sisay Lemma of Ethiopia in the men’s race and Gulume Tollesa, also of Ethiopia, in the women’s race.
The Frankfurt Marathon is a relatively flat course and is spread over a distance of nearly 43,000 metres. It takes in many famous sites in the city such as the Alte Oper, Börneplatz, Friedrich-Ebert-Siedlung and finishes at the world famous Festhalle.
Prepare yourself the right way for the day ahead with a light breakfast in our Caprilicious restaurant. Serving fruits, water and everything you need before you venture out.
Capri by Fraser is the most conveniently located hotel in town for the Frankfurt Marathon. We’re located a short 9 minute walk away via Europa-Allee for the start of the event at Festhalle.
We can imagine you’ll be tired and need to relax after such a feat, running in the Frankfurt competition, so we suggest a quiet drink in our Drinx – Cocktail Bar, to unwind then be safe in the knowledge that the double bed is waiting for once you finish downstairs.
Our serviced apartments are a great choice for single occupancy travellers or groups. If you’re travelling as a couple we suggest our one bedroom apartments with facilities such as a king size bed, LED TV and free Wi-Fi throughout the building.
