10- Parc d’Atraccions del Tibidabo

On top of the highest mountain in Barcelona and with magnificient views over the city lies Parc d’Atraccions del Tibidabo, the oldest amusement park in Spain.

This spot offers fun fairground backdrops for your Instagram shots, or stunning views for cityscape photography.

9- Ciutat Esportiva FC Barcelona

Everyone has heard of FC Barcelona, the majestic Camp Nou and the impressive museum in it, but only the super football fans know about the Ciutat Esportiva.

Settled in the outskirts of Barcelona, Ciutat Esportiva FC Barcelona is the place to go to see where the future stars are being trained, where the first team practice and where the women’s team play.

A gothic cloister in the city of Barcelona? That’s Monestir de Pedralbes. An Ancient convent from the 14th century, this jewel of gothic architecture still remains fairly unknown to locals despite being the place where Catalan queen Elisenda de Montcada is buried, and where nuns and abbesses lived for centuries.

Featuring a spectacular three-story cloister, with a central garden, a church, and a palace where the queen lived until 1367, there is plenty to explore and snap on your camera here.

7- Montjuïc Cemetery

The largest cemetery in the city, Montjuïc Cemetery, is a unique place and well worth a visit. Montjuïc Cemetery hosts some of the most beautiful examples of funerary architecture and sculpture in the country, created by a number of architects, sculptors and artists.

Many locals use the cemetery for walks and relaxation, taking photos of the magnificent setting as they go.

6- Gràcia district

The village of Gràcia district, which was formerly separated from Barcelona, is now one of its most famous of its kind in the city.

4- Mirador dels búnquers del Carmel

Whether you visit it at dawn or dusk, the abandoned anti-aircraft fortification Mirador dels búnquers del Carmel has unbeatable views of the city.

Built in 1938 during the Spanish War, Mirador dels búnquers del Carmel defended the city from bombing. Today, you can walk to the site in just under an hour, or by cycling for 20 minutes from Capri by Fraser Barcelona in the city centre.

3- Carretera de les Aigües

Carretera de les Aigües is also known as the “lung of the city”, and it’s clear to see why. Collserola park is the widest green space in Barcelona. Whether to exercise or simply take in the views, this spot is popular with locals and tourists alike.

Carretera de les Aigües is the road that crosses the park from North to South, following the ancient pipeline that transported water to the city from the old cisterns in Sant Pere Màrtir. The water pipes have now been removed and the path is the perfect place to take scenic and instagrammable shots of Barcelona.
