Where is the Slipknot gig in Glasgow taking place?
It takes place at the SSE Hydro, the largest venue in the city. If you’ve come into town via the M8, you’ll have seen it when driving over the river.
How do I get to the SSE Hydro from Glasgow city centre?
Guests at Fraser Suites Glasgow are right around the corner from Argyle Street station. Hop on a train westbound, and the Exhibition Centre Station is only three stops away.
A single ticket averages £2.10. An off-peak return ticket averages £1.80.
On concert nights there can be a queue at Exhibition Centre station heading back into town, but Scotrail tends to have extra trains scheduled so there’s never too much of a wait.
Can I get a taxi from Fraser Suites Glasgow to the Hydro?
Yes. Taxis and rideshares can pick you up from the front door of Fraser Suites and take you straight to the Hydro. Taxis tend to go along Clyde St, giving you the chance to have a look at the Glasgow riverfront all lit up at night.
On gig nights, traffic on this road is busy as you approach the venue and it can be difficult to get a taxi to pick you up after the show.
If you’re set on walking back into town, you just stick by the river and it takes around 30 minutes.
