This list of the top 10 instagrammable posts has been curated by Sammy, our Sales Manager who is very pationate about his native Glasgow.
1. The Lighthouse
My most instagrammable spot in Glasgow had to be The Lighthouse. You’ll need to climb the famous winding staircase to reach the Instagram photo op, but it’s all worth it when you reach the top and experience the incredible views of the city.
From Fraser Suites Glasgow, you can reach The Lighthouse in 10 minutes on foot.

2. The River Clyde
You can’t visit Glasgow without walking along the River Clyde. From source to sea, the River Clyde travels a winding course for 109 miles, taking in the landmarks of New Lanark and some of the most stunning natural scenery the British Isles has to offer.
My top advice would be to spend a couple hours walking from Glasgow Green to the Riverside Museum and back. On your way, you’ll see stunning riverside views, funky bridges and lots of instagrammable landmarks.
3: Ashton Lane
This beautiful cobbled lane is a vibrant spot for nightlife in Glasgow, with multiple restaurants and bars.
You will find Ashton Lane, with its historic buildings, overhead fairy lights and fun festive bunting, just off of University Ave. On arrival, you’ll soon realise why it’s one of the most picturesque streets in the city!
4. McLennan Arch
Located at the entrance to Glasgow Green, you’ll find Glasgow’s very own Arc De Triomphe! This great monument is always popular with tourists, bloggers and influencers visiting the city.
During your stroll, be sure to visit Doulton Fountain too, it’s the largest remaining terracotta fountain in the world and very insta-worthy.
5. University of Glasgow
This is Glasgow’s very own Hogwarts! The university is always popular with visitors due to its unique gothic design and structure. When visiting, be sure to take a walk through the magical cloisters for the best photo backdrops.

6. Glasgow Mural Trail
Glasgow is home to many instagrammable murals that form a popular trail throughout the city.
Located just off London Road on Abercromby Street, once of the most recent pieces shows the mother of St Mungo wrapped in a dark shawl, surrounded by fish. The portrait, created by Paisley artist Mark Worst, has links to the East End community it is based in. Her shawl features motifs in honour of each of the 29 young women and girls who were killed in the Templeton Carpet Factory disaster in 1889, when a wall blew down in a gale at the famous building on Glasgow Green nearby.
7. Pollok Park Gardens
Located a 20-minute drive away from the city centre and Fraser Suites Glasgow, Pollok Park has 11km of paths through woodlands, along riverbanks and across pastures to explore and photograph. You may even spot Scotland’s iconic Highland cows along the way!
My favourite spot lies behind Pollok House, and is a secret spot known locally as The Fairy Garden.

8. The Glasgow Necropolis
The Glasgow Necropolis is a Victorian garden cemetery located on a hill to the east of Glasgow Cathedral, and is the final resting place of fifty thousand Scots.
In addition to its great history, The Glasgow Necropolis has stunning views over the city. Whether you visit at sunrise or sunset, you are sure to get some scenic shots for Instagram here.

9: Finnieston Crane
Few landmarks in Glasgow encapsulate the city's rich industrial past than the iconic Finnieston Crane or 'Cran'.
For a great shot of Finnieston Crane, cross the river Clyde and stand near the Glasgow Science Centre.
10. Duke of Wellington
Located at Royal Exchange Square, the Duke of Wellingham statue has become an iconic spot in Glasgow.
Originally built by Italian artist Carlo Marochetti, the statue was erected in 1844 as a tribute to Arthur Wellesley, the 1st Duke of Wellington. But today, the Duke is overshadowed by his beloved hat, an orange traffic cone!
This famous statue plays testament to the priceless Glaswegian sense of humour and makes for some rather humorous Instagram content.
