10- Cutty Sark

9- Greenwich Maritime Museum

To best admire the stunning Museum and its spectacular views, climb to the Royal Observatory. Ten years in the making, the National Maritime Museum was opened by King George VI on 27 April 1937. Since then, it has grown to boast the most important holdings in the world on the history of Britain at sea, including maritime art, cartography, manuscripts, official public records, ship models and plans. There is a café and a brasserie with views over Greenwich Park too. This is the perfect spot to relax and unwind.

8- The Royal Observatory

The Royal Observatory, Greenwich is the historic centre of British astronomy, home to the world’s Prime Meridian and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It is one of the most popular tourist attractions in London and a favourite of the team at Fraser Place Canary Wharf. Although the true Prime Meridian has shifted a little with time, the original line is still marked by the transit circle and also by a line in the courtyard outside the observatory.

7- Queens Elizabeth Park

Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park is a vibrant area of East London and a modern urban destination. It makes a perfect backdrop for taking Instagram photos and creating memories. You can slide down the Arcelor Mittal Orbit Tower, swim at the aquatic centre, walk the 2012 trail and capture the Olympic spirit or take to the water. You can also explore on either a swan pedalo or on boat trip. Boat trips and pedalos can be found outside the Aquatic Centre.

As one of the largest inner city farms in Europe, even the most committed high-rise and traffic jam lovers will get a kick out of this doorway to green spaces, fresh air and nature. Set in 32 acres of countryside, over 100 animals bring this farm to life including cattle, sheep, pigs, coats, donkeys, llamas, chickens, ducks and geese.

In the Pet Corner you can handle rabbits, guinea pigs and ferrets, however if it’s the bigger animals you’re interested in, you can pre-book a farm tour at an additional cost. While you’re walking around the farm, take the time to enjoy the amazing array of nature dressed up in its finest colours of the season.

5- Paddle boarding

London's inner city wakeboard and paddleboard centre located in the Royal Victoria Dock is very instagrammable.  Unique to London, WakeUp Docklands is London’s only cable wakeboard park within the central transport network, offering a variety of water-based activities in an inner-city environment. 

Located in the sheltered waters of the Royal Victoria Dock, they specialise in cable wakeboarding, Stand Up Paddle boarding, SUP yoga/pilates and Hydro foiling.

4- Art in Canary Wharf

Canary Wharf is home to London's largest collection of outdoor public art. The collection of more than 75 pieces is a mix of stand-alone sculptures and integrated architectural works. Each piece has been created by a highly-respected artist and together the collection is like a roll-call of modern artistic talent. Canary Wharf’s Winter light festival is renowned and is the most recent collection of Art in Canary Wharf during the autumn and winter of 2020.

3- Crossrail Place Roof Garden

An oasis of calm in the heart of Canary Wharf, Crossrail Place is a rooftop garden with its own street food market. It’s a stunning little spot, where geometric windows offer great views back over Canary Wharf. The plants, flowers, trees and shrubs are just as pretty and are from all over the world. The Roof Garden is divided into hemispheres, with east and west represented on different sides of the park. Australasian ferns and American sweetgums give way to Chinese bamboo and Japanese maples, meaning you can literally walk across the globe during a visit to Crossrail Place Roof Garden. The rooftop is host to Giant Robot, another street food palace from the team at Street Feast. The roof terrace is nothing from spectacular with great sunset views.

2- Walking around Canary Wharf

We recommend walking towards the Pier at Canary Wharf - this place is used to handle produce/goods arriving from the Canary Islands and is now a bustling area for boats. Take a few steps leading up from the waterfront bars and cafés to Westferry Circus and the extensive designer shopping malls in the heart of Canary Wharf. From here, walk towards the Museum in Docklands at West India Quay: this was the old Blood Alley, where rough sugar sacks drew blood on the dockers’ backs. Detour from the Thames Path once more at Heron Quay Roundabout to see the Traffic Light Tree sculpture by Pierre Vivant, before walking on along the river towards Greenwich.
