When and where are the Sydney Roosters playing in March?

It’s that time of year again as the National Rugby League kicks into gear for another season of world-class footy featuring the best players from Australia and around the world. With 16 clubs jostling for a shot at glory – eight of those in New South Wales alone – the Sydney Roosters will have their work cut out for them if they are to defend their title and notch their third consecutive premiership. Big hits, sizzling runs and thrilling contests are on the agenda as the sport’s best clash in another highly anticipated season of rugby league.

Sydney Roosters March Fixtures

With the Roosters’ usual home of Sydney Football Stadium (formerly Allianz Stadium) demolished and set for rebuild, the majority of home games in 2020 will be played at the Sydney Cricket Ground with the remainder played at various other venues.

While none of the Roosters’ first three games will be held at the team’s official home ground at the SCG, fans will have little trouble making it to each fixture. The first will be an away match in Penrith and the third will see them take on the Sydney Rabbitohs at ANZ Stadium; the second, meanwhile, is the side’s opening home game and will be held on the Central Coast. This might seem like a journey, but it’s just an hour’s drive from the CBD and a great excuse to explore the beautiful coast north of Sydney. Why not head out in the morning and make a day trip out of it?

2019 Season Recap: Glory Returns To The Eastern Suburbs

The 2019 NRL season was another one to remember for the highly successful Roosters who won their second consecutive premiership after getting the best of the Canberra Raiders in the grand final. They became the first team to win back-to-back premierships in almost three decades and did so off the back of incredible seasons from James Tedesco, who went on to win the Dally M medal for most valuable player in the league, and Latrell Mitchell, who led the competition in scoring. The elite duo had star-studded support with the likes of Daniel Tupou, Luke Keary, Siosiua Taukeiaho, Cooper Cronk and Boyd Cordner all continuing to impress in the red, white and blue.

The Roosters will head into the 2020 season as favourites for the flag, giving the side a chance to make it three on the trot and climb to second on the total all-time premiership winners list ahead of the St. George Dragons and behind the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
