Turn right down Goethestraße and make your way to the Egyptian Museum at the University of Leipzig, where you'll find an impressive collection of ancient Egyptian artefacts. The church is considered one of the starting points of 1989's 'Peaceful Revolution', the revolt against communist rule in East Germany that led to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the reunification of Germany. GETTING TO AND AROUND LEIPZIG
Leipzig is serviced by Germany's extensive rail network and numerous regional airports. Deutsche Bahn's InterCity Express Train (ICE) takes only an hour to Leipzig's central station from Berlin.
