HUANGCHENG LAOMA HOT POT (15-min drive)
Huangcheng Laoma Hot Pot is a good restaurant to enjoy Chengdu hotpot. Elaborate restaurant featuring hot pot followed by live entertainment, including Sichuan face-changing performance.

JIN LI WALKING STREET (5-min drive)
A famous snack street, Jin Li Walking Street has picturesque views with lanterns at night with food stalls selling a wide variety of food and drinks lining each side of the street.

WEST PEARL TOWER (12-min drive)
Located adjacent to the Jinjiang River, the tower looks like something out of a science fiction film. Since its opening in 2004, the tower – the tallest structure in the city – has been a major tourist magnet, drawing steady crowds of travellers to enjoy not only the panoramic views from its observation deck, but also a meal in the city's highest restaurant which revolves.

YONGLING MUSEUM & MAUSOLEUM (15-min drive)
Also referred to as the Eternal Mausoleum, the Yongling Mausoleum is where the well-preserved royal tomb of Wang Jian is kept. This 15-meter-high building with its 14 impressive archways opened to the public in 1942 and is divided into three chambers, the central of which houses the emperor's exquisitely decorated sarcophagus.

CHENGDU CULTURE PARK (15min by taxi)
Home to the Pavilion of the Eight Trigrams (Bagua Ting), with its eight stone pillars and intricate carvings of dragons and other symbols from Chinese culture, the Chengdu Culture Park is also where you'll find the Shufeng Sichuan Opera House. One of the city's most important cultural destinations, it is home to numerous regular performances of traditional Chinese music and theatre.

WANGJIANG PAVILION PARK (15min by taxi)
Wangjiang Pavilion Park is notable for its splendid 30-meter-tall River Watching Tower. Built in 1889, the attraction features the famous old fountain from the Tang period of AD 618-907 from which the poetess Xue Tao is said to have drawn the water used to produce the unique red paper on which she wrote, and which to this day still bears her name. 

THE WORLD OF MARTIAL ARTS

Follow in the footsteps of China's kung fu masters as you learn about both ancient and modern aspects of this ancient martial art aka Kung Fu.  In Chengdu, Kung Fu is taught by true martial arts masters.  Emei Kung Fu, created in Mount Emei, is one of most classic Martial Arts in China, while others include Tai Chi and Wing Chun.

Chengdu Panda Base offers a chance to see these amazing creatures up close in their natural environment, and also provides an in-depth look at one of the world's most-loved and laid-back animals.

LESHAN GIAN BUDDHA
A UNESCO site since 1996, this colossal stone statue of Maitreya stands 71 meters high and is carved directly from the surrounding rock.
