About Buriram

The name "Buriram" means 'city of happiness'. Mueang Buriram is the capital district of Buriram province, Northeastern Thailand. Home to the Chang International Racing Circuit and Chang Arena football stadium, topped with world-class facilities, it is no wonder why this city is a popular destination for avid sports fans.

With many interesting food options and being a night market aimed more towards locals rather than tourists, this night bazaar market allows one to enjoy authentic Thai street food while enjoying the live music.

TUMKRATOEI RESTAURANT (6-min by car)
Offering a wide variety of foods with reasonable prices, Tumkratoei restaurant has good food quality and service, with dishes such as fermented fish (Pla Som) and deep fried chicken (gai kratoei) being some customer favourites.

WANSABAI CAFÉ & BISTRO (7-min by car)
Serving local Thai cuisine, Wabsabai Café & Bistro is a great place to unwind, especially with the company of the live band.

BURIRAM CASTLE (6-min walk)
This is a must see if in the area as it shows the brilliance of the engineering and beauty balance of Thai construction. It reflects the temples found in other parts of the country perfectly.

CHANG ARENA STADIUM (2-min by car)
The stadium of the Buriram United Football Club, the Chang Arena Stadium, the area around the stadium is landscaped as a large public park for the general public to relax and exercise. Admission to the stadium is free on days where no football matches are being played for visitors to admire the beauty of the stadium.

CHANG INTERNATIONAL CIRCUIT (4-min by car)
A must-visit for racing enthusiasts, the Chang International Circuit hosts multiple racing events per year, with no lack of choice for food around the area.

A big garden next to Buriram Castle, mats can be rented with food available nearby.

KHAO KRADONG FOREST PARK (10-min by car)
Park on a former volcano where visitors can climb to a panoramic summit with a Buddha statue.

BAAN CHAI NAM RESTAURANT

 A Thai restaurant that should not be missed when visiting Buriram. Unique for its simple, rustic décor, it is located in a wooden hut-shaped building and serves traditional Thai food and other Asian dishes.

PLAY LA PLOEN FLORA PARK

The first and only flower park in the northeast, Play La Ploen Flower Park boasts six greenhouses featuring a wide variety of plants from all around the globe.

PHANOM RUNG HISTORICAL PARK 

This is a grand and majestic Khmer site over a thousand years old. Built on an extinct volcano, it is originally a Hindu religious site and later became a Buddhist one. During the 15th-18th Buddhist century, several additions were made.
